Personalities who have made great contribution to or earned lasting merits for either the trade relations between Switzerland and China or SwissCham are awarded Honorary Membership.

The Embassy of Switzerland in China is Honorary Member ex officio.

CCPIT is the largest governmental foreign investment and international trade promotion agency in China, see CCPIT. It can be said to be the equivalent of OSEC which is the agency in charge of the promotion of the Swiss external trade in Switzerland.

CCPIT is currently represented at SwissCham Beijing by YU Jianlong, who is Vice Chairman of CCPIT.

Yu Jianlong is also Secretary-General of the China Economic & Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC). CIETAC is the most important international commercial arbitration institution in China and one of the most important worldwide, see CIETAC.
