Position Overview Key responsibilities: To lead in accordance with the company’s Vision, Mission, Values, Code of Conduct. Be responsible for the full P/L for the company with the Group and Divisional Targets. To establish, lead, and develop strong, highly disciplined, and industry reputable and highly regarded engineering organization within the Group in Asia. To liaise with counterparts in Europe to support in-house global engineering programs launch on time and accordingly. To work closely with Divisional Global SourcingOrganization, Finance, Sales and Marketing, Operations, and Engineering network to capitalize on new sales opportunities and profit enhancement.To provide project leadership on new product development, tool and part qualification and PPAP certification as well as understand and communicate the manufacturability needs to improve product robustness to meet customer expectation. To organize teams and resources to execute new product and technology development and processes improvement, able to lead Design for Manufacturing and have a strong sense of accomplishment to set highly industry standard and product leadership. To appraise the technical capabilities of the engineering team members, develop and execute training and development plans for each colleague in close collaboration with engineering team from the headquarters in Europe.
Required Skills Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar education, with at least 10-15 years relevant working experiences in a highly sophisticated and automated tooling operations. Has appropriate management experience in managing people in China and in developing an engineering team especially in R&D applications and new product developments. Strong OEM & ODM experiences with good customer interface skills, experience with application & engineered product markets with past experience on developed high-volume and high-performance tools with fast cycle time. Prior working experiences in China and commitment on a long-term career development plan based in Suzhou. Knowledge and experience of Consumer Goods, Medical Technology and Automotive design and applications. German Language is an advantage. Availability to travel worldwide. The position is based in Suzhou, China.
